Many thanks to Arnie Jones for another great year with the Central Ohio Hardcourt Championships. He has done an excellent job with this tournament throughout the years and I for one appreciate his efforts to develop a tournament in Columbus that attracts top level players from far away. With the addition of thousands of dollars of additional prize money this tournament just gets better and better. Thanks again and I wish you many more years of success and good luck for a future sponsor.

Dear Alann and Alan, I want to thank you for providing such a wonderful program for central Ohio tennis players. Our son, Patrick, has become a better tennis player because of the opportunities you provide for kids to play during the summer months. I cannot begin to imagine how much work goes into continuing such a program, but our family appreciates the efforts and sacrifices you make. Unfortunately, Patrick won't be able to join you this year for the Masters. Little did we know during his New Albany marathon matches in August that his appendix had ruptured. Ah, yes, athletes are in constant pain! Needless to say, he proudly displays his two trophies as a reminder of his accomplishment. Also, we think it's quite a thoughtful tribute to Shane Roush with the Sportsmanship award. While I didn't personally know Shane, my husband John played regularly with him. His untimely departure affected many of us and you are to be commended for recognizing him with the new award. Kudos to you and what you do for central Ohio tennis! Karen and John Boyd, Granville, OH
